Played our third year at St Bernadette's School fete - in uniform for VE Day. Well, for a while anyway - the uniforms jackets were far too hot to wear for long! I look alarmingly like Captain Mainwaring on the photos...
An exellent day - Blackpool had an airshow so every now and then we were treated to a formation of helicopters or the odd WWII warplane over our heads. Unveiled a new song again - Gene Pitney's "24 Hours From Tulsa". This had been David's favourite karaoke piece so I bowed to pressure and worked out an arrangement for the band. Catch us next week at Croxteth Hall for another rendition!
